Most famous for "Talk Talk," a Top 20 single from that was one of the most manic '60s garage-punk hits, the Music Machine had much more depth and songwriting talent than the typical one-hit wonders of the day. Lead singer and songwriter Sean Bonniwell's strangled lyrics and dark, verbose vision paced the group's wiry psychedelic guitar lines and ominous, minor-key Farfisa organ. Reply

The Music Machine also appears in this compilation Record Collector (magazine): 4 stars out of 5 -- "Diamond's songs always seemed to come with plenty of instant, catchy hooks, and he quickly achieved an attractive pop vibe with his song constructions.". Reply

Their second album, “The Bonniwell Music Machine”, was released in early and consisted of outtakes and single sides by the band’s original line-up, along with newer recordings featuring a second set of personnel; all made under the watchful eye of producer Brian Ross. Reply

May 08,  · THE MUSIC MACHINE burst out of LA and into the charts with their seminal single, ‘Talk Talk’. Like so many of their peers and admirers, they never troubled the charts again. Instead, their single-minded leader SEAN BONNIWELL took his band into deeper and darker places, his black-gloved hand firmly on the steering wheel. Reply

Such was the fickle music industry of the mid to late s. Filled with fuzz guitars, swirling organs, and full of punk attitude, the Music Machine deserved a much better fate. But it was not to be. However, treat yourself to this wonderful collection and travel back into time via Sean Bonniewell and the magical Music Machine/5(18). Reply
